Russells adds Travelodge brand to portfolio
Construction has started on Loughborough's new £5.5m hotel, an 87-bedroom Travelodge at The Wharf. Planned for completion by May 2012, the development is being delivered by H2O Urban, a national joint venture between British Waterways and private developer bloc.

New Morrisons supermarket from Russells
Construction of Ordsall's new Morrisons supermarket has been completed. Main contractor Russells Construction and developer LPC Living have handed over the shell of the 50,000 sq ft unit on Trafford Road to Morrisons, which will now begin fitting out the store in preparation for its opening later this year.

The completion of the building, part of the mixed use £50m Radclyffe Park development, is the latest milestone in the wider regeneration of Ordsall which will see the delivery of new homes, jobs and public spaces for the community...READ MORE
 

Caspian House completion for Royal London
The £2.2m refurbishment of Caspian House at Atlantic Park on Merseyside has been completed. Russells Construction handed over the Grade A office building to representatives from the scheme's development managers, Industrial Securities, and landowner Royal London Asset Management.

The six-month refurbishment of the single storey building saw the remodelling of small internal offices into 35,000 sq ft of modern, flexible, open-plan space with a mezzanine level. A taste of Le Tour for Manchester team
Directors Andrew and Gareth Russell joined a group of like-minded businessmen and swapped the highs and lows of the Manchester property scene for the mountains of France for a three-peak cycling challenge.

Following the route of the 2011 Tour de France, the team of seven completed the notorious mountain stage through the heart of the French Alps from Modane to Alpe d'Huez. The 109km ride took in the climbs of Télégraphe (1,566m), Galibier (2,650m) and Alpe d'Huez (1,850m).

This is the team's second Continental outing, following the 1,500-mile, week-long Manchester to MIPIM challenge in 2010...READ MORE
