Glasgow’s new Park Inn completes

The latest addition to the Glasgow hotel scene has opened following a 12-month refurbishment project by Russells for Hotel Land and Development. The new Park Inn by Radisson on West George Street is in a beautiful Grade B-listed building with a sleek contemporary interior. In the very heart of the city centre, it will cater for both tourists and the business market and has already made its mark with the Rising Star Award from the Scottish Hotel Awards.

Liverpool Vita Student scheme starts

Making an entrance into the student accommodation sector, Russells has started work on the £27m Vita Student scheme in Liverpool city centre. The complex project will see three vacant buildings revitalised to provide hundreds of luxury suites for the city’s student population and draws on Russells’ experience in heritage and listed building restoration, constrained city centre development and the high specification residential market.

Russells on site with new Waitrose

The regeneration of Hayhurst Quay in Northwich is anchored by the development of a new Waitrose supermarket. This will be Russells’ second Waitrose store, following last year’s Walton-le-Dale project near Preston, and builds on the firm’s experience in the retail sector.
The scheme, for developer H2O, also involved the remediation of the site for a separate residential element and the revitalisation of the marina.

Taking a break for latest fundraiser

Fancy a cuppa? Visitors are welcome to a brew or two after hundreds of bags of Yorkshire Tea  were delivered by the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital in recognition of the support the team has given to the RMCH over the last few years. The latest fundraiser - The Big Tea Break - saw staff across six construction sites and at head office in Trafford Park down tools and pens for a brew and a biscuit, helping to raise funds for this important cause.
