Work starts at Baildon Business Park 

The ceremonial sod cutting has taken place for the first three units at the £15m Baildon Business Park. With two occupiers on board and several more in negotiation for space at the 140,000 sq ft scheme near Bradford, Russells Construction has commenced the build. The firm is delivering the development as part of a joint venture with Pendle Projects and Bradford Council.   

Speculative industrial schemes return

Completion of more than 86,500 sq ft of industrial space across either side of the Pennines marks a welcome return to the market for speculative new build projects. Russells Construction has delivered two schemes, which together represent a £5m investment from Property Alliance Group, comprising 11 new units at the Bury South Business Park in Greater Manchester and a single 50,000 sq ft facility at the Victory Park in Sheffield.

White City project commences

Russells Construction is underway with the revamp of the White City Retail Park in Manchester. Developer Derwent Holdings is investing £6.5 million in the refurbishment of 10 existing units and five new build. Once complete, the park will offer almost 150,000 sq ft of retail space and an improved customer experience.
     

Crewe infrastructure works underway

A 3.2-acre brownfield acre site in Crewe is being regenerated by Russells Construction. The company has installed access and services for a new Greene King pub and McDonalds restaurant just off Dunwoody Way. The deal to bring both operators to the site was secured by sister company Russell Homes as part of a wider mixed-use master plan. A final plot of 2.5 acres is being marketed for leisure or retail use.
